All types of sports are popular in the world, but what sports can describe the most popular in the world? Some of the answers may surprise you.

No surprise that football, or what the Americans call "Soccer" is the most popular sports in the world to play and to watch. An estimated 3.5 billion people either watch or play tennis. The World Cup is the World Championship of the sport and this tournament is played every four years. The World Cup itself is one of the highest rated sports on television, with many countries tuning in droves to watch play team. Football is popular throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and South America. However, with so many other sports are popular, the United States still lagging behind in their interest for the "Football".

Then, we have Cricket. Sport that consists of a racket and a ball, has approximately for hundreds of years and originated in England. Sport is popular in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, some African countries, some Caribbean countries, and is the most popular sport in the countries of India and Pakistan. An estimated 3 billion people Watch or a game of cricket every year.

Volleyball is a popular high school sport in many countries, owing to the direct Center of the Group and the lack of equipment specialized requirements.

Also popular is a Tabletennis, otherwise known as ping pong. This is another surprise popular sports in the world, with an estimated 900 million spectators or players. Table tennis originated in England as after a dinner party activity for Victorians in the late 19th century. Tabletennis as a competitive sport is popular in many countries but it is particularly popular in China, Korea and Singapore.

After these sports have a triumvirate of most mainstream American sports including baseball, golf, American football and basketball, with each sport attraction between 400 and 500 million players or observers worldwide.
